Alexander Slavchev (born November 4, 1988) is a Bulgarian singer, guitarist, composer, and music producer. He gained national recognition through his appearances on the TV shows Music Idol (2007) and The Voice of Bulgaria (2020). His debut album, The Road to You, was released in 2024.
Born in Ruse, Bulgaria, Alexander began his musical journey at an early age. He graduated from the National School of Arts “Prof. Veselin Stoyanov” in Ruse, majoring in classical guitar (2007), and later earned a bachelor’s degree in pop and jazz guitar from the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia (2011). During his school years, he won several awards at national and international classical guitar competitions.
Musical Career Highlights
- 2007 – Participated in the first season of Music Idol.
- 2012 – Joined the band of legendary Bulgarian singer Lili Ivanova and performed in her first Arena Armeec concert in front of 15,000 people, as well as on her national tour.
- 2020 – Reached the semifinals of The Voice of Bulgaria (Team Grafa); released his debut single Sandglass (Пясъчен часовник).
- 2024 – Presented his first full-length album The Road to You (Пътят към теб) at A to Jazz Festival in Sofia, including the duet Forever (Завинаги) with MARTINNA.
He has also been part of the Low Step project and has collaborated—live or in studio—with artists such as Lyubo Kirov, Beloslava, Vasil Naydenov, Lina Nikol, Elena Sirakova, and more. He performs the duet This Is How It Is with Tri O Five and Michael Flemming.
